recycled plastic lumber

Recycled Plastic Lumber (RPL) is made from post-consumer plastic (not to be confused with wood-plastic composite lumber) and is an incredibly ‘green’ material. Not only is it made from materials heading to landfills (and that will not break down there for, perhaps, thousands of years), but RPL will outlast any wood in the outdoors, does not splinter, warp or crack, is amazingly stable, sequesters carbon, offsets logging (and the resultant energy use and greenhouse gas emissions) up to 20 times over, provides local jobs and can be re-recycled after its use.

Earthbilt staff have years of experience with these materials — we’ve been working with researchers and innovators since 1991. We have also provided advice on applications and innovations, to create some unique products you will find nowhere else.

There are structural grades of RPL that can be used for load-bearing applications, as well as “landscape” grades that are less expensive.

Do you need structural RPL? The least expensive option? How can you best incorporate this material into your project? Earthbilt has the answers and can provide you with the right RPL for your specific application.

Call 917/543-4064 or email Earthbilt today with your needs and we can provide design advice and a quote.
